E. Lynn Harris (1955-2009)

E. Lynne Harris, whose 11 novels, a memoir and numerous short stories and articles focused on black men with bisexual tendencies (if not identities), died in Los Angeles on July 23, apparently of heart disease, at age 54. His books -- surprising popular among middle-aged black women as well as his loyal gay and bi male following -- consistently appeared on bestseller lists, though none to date has ever been translated into a feature film or telepic.
