Understanding
factors involved in self-injury among LGBTQ individuals
Interested in helping with
some important research?
We are looking for
LGBTQ individuals between 18 and 25 years of age to participate in a research
project looking at self-injury. You do not need to have a history of
self-injury to participate. The study will take approximately one hour to
complete and can be done ONLINE, from your own computer, on your own time.
Participants will
be eligible to win one of two $100 gift cards for Amazon.com. The draw will
occur in Spring, 2013. Chances of winning will depend on the number of those
who participate.
If interested
please go to http://www.westresearch.ca/ lgbtqstudy/ or email the graduate coordinator of this
project, Jill St. Denis (j.stdenis@psy.uoguelph.ca).

Good start, most studies are grant funded and have to have parameters, but I find it fascinating the age limit of the group. IMHO this study will grossly under-represent bis who self-injure. Good luck with your work, hopefully it will prompt others to do this research.
ReplyDeleteThey should extend it to people over the age of 13. There are a lot of young young adults who are LGBTQ that self harm also.
