What health problems does your community face?
That’s what folks at the All of Us Research Program (AoURP) are wondering. In order to find out, we’re tasked with engaging LGBTQ people in this enormous precision medicine effort to enroll 1 million Americans. How can we attract LGBTQ people to AoURP? Well, we need photos and videos that reflect our communities.
If You are…
passionate about LGBTQ health and health research;
live in the San Francisco Bay Area; and,
you’d be TERRIFIC representing LGBTQ people in photos!
We hope you’ll be able to join us for what’s sure to be a fun photoshoot:
Dates: Saturday June 22 and Sunday June 23, 2019*
Location: Central Bay Area TBD
Compensation: $50 Visa gift card
*Please Note: Subjects will only be needed on one day, TBD based on scheduling. If you have a preferred day, please let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

Based on the casting goals below, the good folks at communications firm Wondros (Jonathan, Brad, David, and Jason) will consider you for the photoshoot and possibly schedule a brief 15-minute conversation at your convenience. We’re looking for 20 people total for this project.
If you’re cast in the photoshoot – congrats! Wondros will confirm your timeslot, the location, and all relevant details via email.
Selected participants will be asked to sign a standard appearance release form allowing recordings of your voice and image to be used in advertisements for AoURP. We will also ask you to fill out a background check authorization form. *The background check is conducted by a private company that is not affiliated with the U.S. government, and the information on the form will never be seen by any government agency.
Show up to the photoshoot and receive a $50 gift card + yummy food and our undying gratitude! PRIDEnet will be there to welcome you.
We hope to create images of individuals and groups of transgender men and women, gender non-conforming and intersex people, and queer cisgender women and men in the following age ranges: 18-30, 30-50, and 50-80+. We aim to have 70-80% of the images be of people of color (Black, Asian-American, Latinx, Native American, bi-racial, and multi-racial people).
The All of Us Research Program at the National Institutes of Health is a national effort to create a health research study of more than 1 million people who represent the true diversity of the United States. PRIDEnet is funded to engage sexual and gender minorities, which include LGBTQ folks, in the project.
In this effort, we are partnering with a communications agency called Wondros. Wondros created a video specifically for LGBTQ populations that will be used nationally to engage folks in this program. If you want to take a peek at some of their prior work, check out here:
